- ‘Glass is an indiscriminate killer’
(2025)
Group-exhibition in Uusrada gallery (Tallinn)
Aidan Timmer trapped his birdhouse within a clear acrylic cuboid adorned with the silhouettes of different birds, deterring any potential collisions. The exhibition at Uus Rada was the first piece of a three-part curatorial project. In the coming weeks the different artworks will be installed in and around Tallinn on different trees and buildings for the public to visit and discover, transforming the works into living sparrow houses.
The different locations will be accessed via a map published on the isthisit? website. Once installed, the works will be left to live outside in the natural environment, decaying and transforming with time.

Second Hand Suffering 2
(2024) - Video installation
After attempting to decode the footage of Second Hand Suffering, the images became corrupted, emerging crushed and broken.
Despite the failed attempt, I stumbled upon something remarkable: the images possessed a certain power that the original footage lacked. The haptic quality I was searching for in Second Hand Suffering was embedded in the tactility of the corrupted image.
It felt as though I could physically feel the image, as if it were prickling. After repeatedly corrupting the footage further using Handbrake, I arrived at a final result that, in terms of feeling, was closer to the original concept.
